Claiming compensation for lack of coverage

Hi moneysavers..

I was wondering if any of you have ever claimed compensation for not having mobile phone coverage, due to broken masts or whatever in your area?

I work in Edinburgh City Centre, and large areas of EH1, EH2 and EH3 haven't had network coverage for a fortnight, and the girl acknowledged that on the phone.

Has anybody made a successful claim, or otherwise?

They will tell you that they cannot guarantee complete network coverage 24 hrs a day 365 days a yr in every single area of the country. However, be polite about it and explain due to the extent of the coverage problem (a few connected postcode areas) you have been unable to use your phone - so long as this is reflected by your call records you may get a "gesture of goodwill" from them.

Include your telephone number, name (on the account) and password (or if you have no password put your address).
