    I agree.
In the past I have got mum a small water feature, and some things with fairies on because she likes that, so much even that I know she would never be disappointed with a fairy related present!
So, dpes your mum have a hobby or a collection? Maybe somethin to fit in with that?

Last year I bought my mum a silver photo frame from Next with 3 photo slots (one above the other)

I then got some old photos (she's 62), scanned them into PC and cleaned them up.

They were one of her Mum & Dad when 'courting (1940's), one of her as a baby being held by her Grandmother (mid 1940's) and one as a young woman with my Dad (60's).

All were black and white and looked really good and was also different to the usual vases, chocs, smellies etc. I gave it to her for her bedside, but it takes pride of place on the sideboard downstairs!
  • I bought my Mum a token for Tea for 2 at The Ritz. At £60 it is a little pricey but great opportunity to spend some quality time together doing something a bit "special"

Just done a double check on price and it seems to have gone up this year to £70. Check out http://www.theritzlondon.com/tea/

Me & my mum had a wonderful day at a spa, inc massage & facial with lunch. You can usually find good deals via lastminute.com.

My mum likes photos of the family, I have bought a few collage type frames and put suitable pics in over the years.

I am a mum too and I would appreciate a good book, nice bath oil, shower gels, I love pens so a decent one would be appreciated too. Earrings, perfume, a nice notebook to write my journal need I go on?

    Hope you find something suitable.
