Complaining - too late?

Had a bunch of flowers delivered to my gf a couple of months back and was gonna complain about them - I really don't think I got enough flowers to justify the price paid and there were markedly less than were in the picture on the website. (in fact, something like 50% the number of "proper flowers").
This last week is the first time my feet have really touched the floor since - do you think there's any point me writing to complain now, or as it's been a while, should I just leave it as a "water under the bridge" kinda thing.
I took photos of them at the time, so can show what they looked like...

I think it's always worth writing to any company where you have been dissatisfied with their product or service. If we don't do that, how will they ever know that customers are not happy?
After this amount of time if you were hoping for some sort of recompense it may well not be forthcoming but certainly you should let them know how you felt and that you won't be using them again. It's possible that the owner of the florist is unaware of the standard of some of the bouquets being sent out - in which case you are doing them a favour by writing. On the other hand they may be doing this with all their orders, shortchanging the customer and boosting their profits in the process.0 -
Agree it's worth a quick email. Nothing to lose.
Mention that you've been busy and realise that you've left it late but wanted to let them know...0 -
Yeah, I think I'll drop them an email. They're a big company, so might just send a voucher out or something...but, of course, like all good complainers, I'm not in it for the money, just upset my gf wasn't quite as cheered up as she should have been

Was it valueflora?0

Nope, Interflora

Before you send your complaint through, you might just like to check...this has tripped me up a few times in the past...
Some flower websites will have a 'representative' picture of the bunch of flowers, but when you place your order, you select 'small', 'medium' or 'large' bunch. Naturally, the 'representative' picture is for the largest bunch so if you select small or medium, you're not going to recieve the same amount of flowers.
Just thought that might have been why they were smaller than you expected, might be worth checking?0 -
Thanks for that...fairly sure there was just one price though...
(just checked, it's deffo just one size...)0 -
Stupid point but are your photos date stamped to prove they were THE flowers?
Sure you didn't pick a bunch of daffs from your neighbours garden???0 -
I'm not so sure about that...don't think my "evidence" would stand up in court. Of course they don't have to believe me, I suppose I coulda just knicked some daffs at the time, so unless I caught the guy delivering them on camera, I guess it's not much proof (and I wasn't there, sadly - if I were I'd have taken the flowers myself

If it was Interflora then definitely send a complaint. You see, when you use Interflora, if you didn't ring a particular interflora florist in the area where your delivery is going to be, it is directed through to one for you. So they will want to know about standards from shop to shop. These individual florists may well be privately owned small businesses, in fact generally they are and also are hooked up to the Interflora service.
For example, I use a couple of local florists. If I were to use the Interflora website the flowers could potentially come from any of those shops I regularly use directly, or a number of others in the area, depending upon who gets the job.0
