I live in the south where Morrisons have taken over Safeway.I don't know why but I hate it now.I hate the yellow and black logo.I hate the name.I hate the uniform those poor girls have to wear.It seems really dated.
Apparently Morrisons(in the south) is not doing as well under that name as it did before when it was safeway. So it can't all be in my mind.I think they have an image problem.Personally I split my shopping between Tesco,Lidl and M&S when I'm feeling flush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I want money..........that's what I want !!:j0 -

It is run a bizarre, hyper-authoritarian man who doesn't seem to be in tune with the modern world. I hate Morrisons, and I don't think I've ever met anyone who shops there. Their stores are just so uninviting.0 -

I knew someone who worked in Morrisons and she said every so often he would turn up during the night shift and shout at everyone:rotfl:

It seems to me that Sainsburys have filled in the spaces in their shelves with branded goods at double or three times the prices of their own brands. Consequently there is less shelf filling for the staff as these items require only minor facing.
It is a pity that they don't sell base balls to go with their baguetes. Are there laws/ indicators of fresh bread that trading standards can use? You can often find DVDs of the same movie at three different prices. I have very little choice and I'm off their now.

I must say though - there is one good thing about Morrisons: in the magazine sections they put bins for you to deposit all your magazine's junk mail into :j0

I have an Asda, a Sainsbury, a Morrison, a Tesco Express and a Netto all within walking distance from me. OK, I can walk for miles and as I live alone I never have huge shopping to bring back.
Being a supermarket tart I shop in all of them according to what I need. Sainsbury for me comes tops for unsual brands of extra virgin olive oil, pastas and other things I am fussy about. Waitrose is also good for this but the nearest not very close to me.
My basics come from Asda and occasionally Netto.
I have always maintained that cheap is not always better, especially food.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

I just lovvvvvvve Sainsbury's!!
They give me a fantastic magazine with lots and lots of vouchers in it for only £1.20 which I snip out as quick as a flash and get down to my local asda where they kindly take the lot off me saving me oodles on my shopping.
If I run out I just repeat the process......easy!!
Keep it up Sainsbury's!! :rotfl:Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

Waitrose is by far the best, but a bit pricey. Local Tesco is awful so I only use them for internet shop when I've got vouchers and good offers and local Sainsburry's OK but nothing too exciting.I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0
