Flights to Vancouver

Options
Looking to fly to Vancouver in the Easter holidays. Being quoted about 550. Is this about right? Should i wait till later on our book up now?
I have also heard that flying to Seattle is an option, anybody know how far away this is?

All help appreciated.

All long haul flights over Easter, Xmas and school holidays are very expensive and £550 does not seem over the top.

The best price I've found using https://www.kelkoo.co.uk is £510 from Weds 12/04/06 to 19/04/06 . There are plenty of other places to search and you can try ringing brokers direct like dial a flight who are very competitive offline.

Still, the kelkoo / opodo price includes a stop in chicago and is with United Airlines (14 hours journey each way). If your £550 is direct, it looks promising. Mid week departures are usually cheaper - if this is an option, you could check it.

Ah yes, forgot about them - Zoom would be £392 for what I was describing. I apologise.

They might fly via Glasgow or Manchester, but you stay on the plane, it just picks up some more people

We drove from Seattle to Vancouver a few weeks ago . Think it's about 140 miles and it's an easy drive , straight up on the I5

    Try http://www.globespan.com

Flew last month with them (they're actually reselling AIR TRANSAT flights), and am a happy customer.

To travel from Vancouver to Seattle, take a coach: Greyhound and Quickcoach or the train

(Renting a car might be cheaper / haven't checked)

Think was 6 Dollars to enter the US (admin cost for US Customs)

Seattle to Vancouver is an easy drive.

If you do drive make time to stop off at the Boeing Aircraft factory that you practically drive right past in Everett (north of Seattle). They do tours and the assembly line building for Jumbos (747's) is awesome. You need tickets and tours are on the hour.

Border crossing is not normally too long although post 9/11 may be a little more protracted.
