i have a program on my computer which i wish to copy and email to a relative.
how do i do this?
i know where to locate the file itself but cannot seem to get my head around trying to copy it.
it is not copyrighted MSE, so there is no need to pull this thread.

When you say program - do you have the original install file?
As when you install a program on your computer it will usually put dozens (if not hundreds or thousands) of files on which make it work.
If you have the original install file you can just attach this to an email like any other (click attach in your email window, choose the file and send).0 -

Change the extension to .doc and send it with instructions for the recipient to do the same in reverse.stevo25 wrote:you cant email it via gmail as it blocks all .exe files ive tried also with a piece of s/w that is freeware to get it home0 -
It might just be easier to find a download source for the program and point your friend to the relevant web site, if you can.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
