Can anyone advise if they have bought a Milly dress or a Landy dress online? Is one company better than the other for quality??

I have spent ages on their websites, and don't know which one to concentrate on. They both seem to be the same on price

    Many thanks
  • I am really considering getting my dress from e bay but am concerned as to quality etc. I am going to look into it in detail as i have got at least a year before wedding so i'm in no rush. I will keep an eye on this thread to see what others say

I think if its good its very good but those who had a bad experience had a terrible time. Also the dress must be slightly different reading from bits on here so I decided I wasn't going to risk it and bought the dress I feel in love with as I knew anything different wouldn't be the same :)

I did haggle £200 off the bridal shop price for my Maggie dress so don't always assume you need to pay the full price in shops :D
Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

My dress from Milly Bridal was absolutly LOVELY! and a perfect fit!

    Highly recommended.
  • My daughter has just started looking at dresses and hasn't yet found one that has all elements so is thining of going to someone like Landy or Mille Bridal (Cinderella shop on ebay) but is concerned about the quality of the fabric used.
We've seen pics of Chinese dresses and they look fab but you can't see the fabric quality in a pic.

If anyone is reading this thread and already has their dress from China could they let us know what they thought of the fabric in comparison to the 'shop bought' dresses?

Hi, i bought my dress from ebay seller gianinarbridal, the dress arrived within 35 days and was made to measure.
the dress was made from matt satin and was not too heavy. here is the link to my dress,

and if that doesnt work the item number is 230163558884
i fell in love with this dress in my local bridal shop, when they told me al their dresses come from china i had to look on ebay and found it!
in the bridal shop the dress was £800, i paid under £100 and it is identical.

    i hope this helps

Styles are changing for the 2009 season and the new dresses won't be in the shops until after September. All trade buyers are heading for the Harrogate Show which takes place on 7-9 September up in Harrogate - it is Europe's largest bridal trade show. I was due to go but now can't afford it so will be trying to get their full show guide sent to me but in the meantime I have a preview guide.

Dresses have halter necks with large corsages (large flowers on one side of the halter neck - can't think how best to describe really), they can be strapless or have unusual looking corset type tops. Metallics are in as well.
