Ebay/Internet Dresses....Part 2 Pls?

Evening All,
I've just spent the last couple of hours reading the original Ebay dresses thread and it's great to hear all about the fabulous dresses that have been bought in true MSE style.
However...I am even more confused now than when I started!! I am now very interested, but as the posts start in February this year, a few of the links provided don't seem to work now.
So...I was wondering if we could start a new thread please for the 2009 season!!! My wedding is in August 2009 and I want to decide on a dress.
What is the best way forward? Should I seek out designer dresses in the stores and look for copies on Ebay etc? Which sites do you guys recommend for quality, customer service, communication etc......so many questions!!
Many thanks,
Sammy x

Hi Sammy,
I used ASAPBAY which is on ebay also known as Landy bridal, I could not fault the quality of the material or the dress it's self, If I was you I would go and try some on in the shops to get a feel for what style suits you, if you find one you really like, you can then find out about getting it made for you.
Best of luck:D .
aaaaawwww I miss the old ebay dress's thread alreadyso many ups and downs

Thanks Littlel
The old Ebay thread was exciting to read. All those ups and downs and getting excited when the dress arrives!!
I really can't wait until I find my dress0 -
My daughter has just started looking at dresses and hasn't yet found one that has all elements so is thining of going to someone like Landy or Mille Bridal (Cinderella shop on ebay) but is concerned about the quality of the fabric used.
We've seen pics of Chinese dresses and they look fab but you can't see the fabric quality in a pic.
If anyone is reading this thread and already has their dress from China could they let us know what they thought of the fabric in comparison to the 'shop bought' dresses?0 -
I have the same worry about the quality. But as another poster said on the original thread, if it isn't what you imagined then it's a loss of £100 or so, but if it is everything and more than you imagined then you have saved anything from £700 upwards.
Hopefully some ladies will be along to tell us of their experiences and who they recommend0 -
I havent bought mine yet but the other ladies on the oterh post all assure me that the dresses they had were of fantastic quality. Landy are now going to make my dream 1k dress for me for £116 she also sent me an email with pics of some original dresses next to the copied ones which I can forward to you if you want?0

I've had some swatches from Landy and the quality seems fine to me - lots of ladies have been over the moon with her dresses :j :T0

Been looking through the ebay 'stores', does anyone know who originally made this dress as we'd like to see 'the real thing' if you see what I mean?0
