Hi there!
I bought my tests from e-bay, like the kind they use in the hospital, they detect early pregnancy too, I have always used these and I'm sure they were about a £1 for 5.

Free pregnancy testing can be done at your local pregnancy support centre. There are 150+ around the country - see www.careconfidential.com. They also have a free helpline 0800 028 2228 and online help. They do other things for you such as support for an unplanned pregnancy, post-abortion support, free baby clothes (some centres), chlamydia testing (some centres), miscarriage and other baby loss support, advice and information. The website tells you where all the lcoal centres are. Take a look.0

Sorry if this is a bit embarassing
Please does anybody know if there is anywhere I can get a free fertility / ovulation tracker or test kit and a pregnancy test kit for use at home? Or even a free book with hints and tips for better chances?
If not where can I find out about them? Theyre so expensive just for the one off use and im having difficulty having children and weve been through the tests and clinics and come to a dead end now unless I want to try IUI
time is running out.
Thanks
I get mine from poundland and quality save. I would recommend joining certain internet forums for help with charting your ovulation etc. however, try not to get too stressed about it (i know easier said than done) and too obsessive about it because that can ruin your chances as well.
I would recommend you try IUI if that's what you have been offered. I had my first IUI last year and although it didn't work for me, that's not to say that it won't work for you. It's not an easy process and it is very obtrusive (or so I thought anyways) but it's better to try than to not try at all. I'm not sure which health authority you live in, but we get 3 tries and then go on the waiting list for IVF if it fails. The clinic we went to said that you have a better sucess rate with IUI than IVF. Also, there was an article I read about IVM, which is said to have better sucess rates for people with PCOS. You might want to do some research on that. I'm going to when we start trying again (decided to take a break from trying cos of the strain it was putting on things).
If you want to know more about IUI etc. then please pm me because I know what your going through.

You need to either go to your GP or find a local family planning centre that run clinics for teenagers (when I was a teen it was a tuesday afternoon
) failing that, some chemists also offer free pregnancy tests. If you are pregnant, there is loads of support out there for you, which can help with deciding what you want to do to help support you in telling your parents. You can also speak to your school nurse - i don't think that they are under any obligation to tell your parents yet unless they think that you may be under some sort of harm.
If you are pregnant and decide you want to keep the baby, then there are loads of young parents groups available and midwives/health visitors that specialist in teenage pregnancies.
However first things first though and that is that you need to find out whether you are pregnant or not and you need to do that ASAP. Also, try to include a trusted friend in this, one who can be there when you do the best and one who will be supportive of you no matter what the result.
Take care and please let me know how you get on
