    Our doctor recommended a book called "Taking Charge of your Fertility", by Toni Weschler.

    Must say it's excellent, and will certainly help you. Your local library should have it, and if they don't, they will be able to get it in for you, so you needn't buy a copy (we didn't!).

    Would also recommend using this website:

    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/

    Will help you track when you're ovulating etc.

    Hope that helps
  • Hi

    This is a link to a free online ovulation calender. You keep it updated with the dates of your cycle, and it tells you the dates that you are most fertile. Also useful if you want to use a more natural method of birth control.

    Hope this helps :j

  • I was told I couldn't have children, to cut a long story short I was born with a tumour on my ovary which wasnt discovered til I was 27 (after years of pain and toing and froing to the docs) Anyway after giving up all hope I got pregnant at 34 and then again at 37. I now have 2 gorgeous girls. So never give up. poundland do pregnancy tests a duo pack and they are very accurate.

    I would recomend the cheap tests that they sell in home and bargins and places like quality save they are £1 or less and they work very well... i know as i have used them when i was trying to concieve and when i wasnt pregnant they said so and when i was they said so :D also i know that they are the same tests they use in the brook if your under 25 you can use this service http://www.brook.org.uk/content/

    also this site might be helpfull... http://www.askbaby.com/trying-to-conceive.htm

    AND don't use lube! many people trying to concieve try this but it can decrease your chances and kill sperm

  • Just want to let you know, Tesco, Boots and Superdrug own brands all gave me false negatives, even when I was 15w and 2d pregnant. So I'd recommend you see a doctor, although I know you want to do it at home...
  • If you have a 99p store near you, they do 3 packs for 99p! haven't used them though, so don't know what they're like.

    Ok well this is what it entails and what you need to do if you want to take part. It is a trial where you have the opportunity to use a Clearblue Fertility monitor for 6 cycles.

    The monitor is loaned to you and they supply you with the test sticks needed. They also supply pg test sticks.

    You have to do a water sample everyday starting from cd1, these have to be sent back to the lab, they supply the pots, bags, etc, and they ask you to fill out a diary too.

    If you get pg while on the trial if you collect water samples for a further 8 and they will give you £60.
    The monitor tells you 5 days prior to ovulation when you are due to ovulate and it also tells you if your fertility at that time is high,low or peak giving you plenty of time to arrange to BD!

    To do this trial or you need to do is call a the number and leave your name and number and within 24 hours max, a lady will give you a call back and see if you qualify for the trial. they asked me the following questions:
    * how long I had been TTC
    * how many pregnancies I have had (and subsequent MC)
    * longest cycle length
    * shortest cycle length
    * history of kidney or liver disease etc
    They will then send you out a couple of info sheets and forms to fill in if successful, which I recieved this morning and sent back asap!

    So if you are interested then Call the number now!

    . Phone number is 01234 835520 (answering machine)

    JUST TRYED TO GOOGLE IT AND I COULDNT FIND IT EITHER BUT FOUND THIS WHICH IS A FEW YEARS OLD BUT YOU COULD STILL TRY
