Refused to give an email address but this is the number to ring to start any PPI reclaim process. Half way through mine and they have offered me half but I'm turning them down to get the full amount back.0 -

How did you get the ball rolling with the PPI claim?
Do you still have an active monument account?
What did your letter to them contain?
I have a monument account since 2003 and am still paying and receiving regular statements. I would like to claim the payment break plan back and am not sure how to start making a claim.
Isn't it Raphaels Bank PLC that now own Monument?

It's a good idea upgrade to a Barclaycard,I think.0

Hi, hope somebody can help me!
I have been on the PPI reclaim wagon for a few weeks after assuming that I didn't have any of this cover, only to be contacted relentlessly about it so checked out some old paperwork and found it all over the place!
I've had a couple of successes already, of which monument is one.
However, the FINAL response from them has offered me 'without admission of liability' full refund of my payments + interest from 2003-7, but the plan was only stopped when I entered a DMP in Sept 11 so they should be refunding me everything I paid until then (plus interest!) right?
The letter is very vague and the notes in with it very contradictory, and it doesn't include an acceptance form either. I've also just tried to call them and obviously got no answer
My query is, is this just them trying it on? or should I just be grateful for the money they've offered me and hope it turns up? If I ring and moan can they withdraw their 'goodwill gesture'?
Apologies for all the questions but Im hoping that one of you good MSE-ers will come along and help me with some experience of this/them!
Thanks in advance!0 -
Does anyone know how interest is calculated on payment break plans for Monument PBP claims? Offered me £137.64 plus interest of £26.49. After some persuading they sent me a print out showing a period of 24 months where this was paid. I think it's longer as I got a DMP and have since paid off full debt. Credit card showing from 8th June 2005 to 8th May 2007 , paying between £4 and £6 of PBP charges each month.
Thanks for your help.0 -
