Parents teach their children to approach staff members if they get lost, selling uniform could lead to serious consequences - a tiny risk i'm sure but something to be considered.0

Staff members at Argos??!0 -
Maybe not specifically in Argos, but in any shop! I've had kids coming up to me lost and taking my hand as we walked around the shop looking for their mother. Kids are taught to trust people in uniforms, and most would go to a member of staff than a complete stranger."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

O/T - but a few years ago I had just come back from a funeral and was in Comet still wearing the suit, although I'd removed the tie, and I wasn't feeling in the best of emotional states. When I was looking at an ipod, this guy rushed up to me and started giving me grief about not getting a refund on something he had returned and was getting a bit shirty and in my face, obviously thinking I was the manager.
I told him exactly what he could do with his pointy finger and where would be an appropriate place to stick it, which got him even more angry and he asked for my name as he was going to personally go to Comet head office and demand that I be sacked, or he would tell the press/watchdog/trading standards etc about the terrible service in the store.
I was more than happy to tell him my name, and what I thought of his plan, at which point he stormed out.
I can only guess how the complaint was dealt with - "A manager called Steve? I'm sorry, but we don't have a manager of that name... Are you sure you have the right store?"<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
