We went to the Parade last year, got there about 7:45am and was hard to find a decent spot. Some people had been there since 6am:eek: Told my kids to push in front of the adults to see all. It was a good morning and plenty to see, and plenty people there. Would go again this year but we're not back from holiday until the afternoon.
Mr Al-Fayed is a complete !!!! but I have to admit he puts the parade on totally free and also lays on the best Santa in London:beer:0 -
Every day in December is now fully booked except the 2nd Dec. All weekends in November also now booked. It's madness! Last year I didn't hear about it until September but still managed to get Christmas Eve tickets.
I suspect that along with lots of Wii Fits, that Harrods Santa Grotto tickets will also be a good ebay seller in a few months.
Perhaps Harrods should charge £40 per ticket and then refund this back to the same card when you present it when visiting Santa?0 -
thats a good idea smi1er, i'd go for that, that way honest peeps would'nt miss out!!0

sorry just to clarify, can you wear jeans now, just have to look smart?

Yes - very unfair when people do that. I cannot believe that it has booked so quickly - maybe more tickets will be released later??????0 -

It did say when you booked that you may need to show id, guess that way they'll only let you in if you booked the tickets, will hopefully stop ebay selling.Slightly worn out mum to 3 (DS1 May 03, DS2 Feb 05, DD1 Feb 08). When i grow up i think i'll become a UN Peace keeper....0 -
Yes, you can wear jeans to Harrods, i have done many times including last year at the grotto. I can send you a copy of the photo if you like, hubby & myself both in Jeans, also Spud too I think!
And I have also been in a fair few times wearing flip flops & no-one's ever said anything, although never tried in december!

someone selling tickets on ebay already, can't believe that. How sad.
It does state on Harrods terms and conditions, not resale, etc.0 -

Think they may be having problems with their site - all running very slow. I'd try again later.0
