Why dont u try Ebay or a refurbished version from any phone shop ?Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0

I don't trust ebay to be honest, not for such an expensive item. The local phone shops sell the refurbished handsets for the same price as the brand new ones are on the net. And the sell the new ones at a good £200 over the odds. It's ridiculous.Sigless0

I don't think you understand the mobile phone business.
The phone is so expensive as it's packed with features and technology and a pretty large screen size.
It's £400 or so as you're buying it upfront with a one off payment.
The reason why contracts offer the handset for free is because you'll pay for the handset through the price of your monthly contract over a period of X months, so the phone is effectively "loaned" to you over the duration of your contract. Can I afford to buy? Mortgage Affordability Calculator

I understand the mobile phone business perfectly. When I said it was ridiculous I was referring to the price the local phone shops were charging. Not the fact the phone is expensive.
All I was asking was if anyone had seem one at a reasonable price, or seen any offers, such as o2 selling the refurb models for £99 a few weeks back.Sigless0 -

A search for 'n95 refurb sim free' on Google turns up a few results. Play.com are selling a new N95-1 for £279. Another site, mobileguru is selling refurbished N95-2 for £215.
I don't think you'll get much cheaper than this. The N95 is a premium phone and commands a good resale value, even on eBay. That O2 offer was subject to other conditions and the actaul cost was more than £99 and for selected O2 customers only for a limited time.0 -
Cheers Nick, I'll check play.
I actually had one of the o2 refurbs on order but the order was cancelled, so there were no other conditions, as long as you were on an o2 contract you could call and ask for one. The silver was £69 and the 8gig was £99, a few of my friends got one and o2 have just added the price to their bills for this month. Sadly none of them will sell me one lol.
They've told me I can have one when they get more stock, problem is they have no idea when that will be and I need it for the weekend, hence me having to buy elswhere.Sigless0 -
