HI,
Just a quick question...
Having looked on b&q website today found some lengths of timber I am after for a project reduced from £6.47 a length to £2.41 a length.
I can't order them online or get delivered as store pick up only but checked store availability and in stock.
I called my local B&Q store and they confirmed in stock but said the price was £6.47 a length. I said that online price showing £2.41 as summer saving and asked when sale finishes. They said tomorrow but could not see this price on their system.
I have printed out the page and I can't get to store til tomorrow anyway but do they have the right to refuse price if I can't order online?
Many thanks in advance for any replies

Just been listening to a similar case on threecountiesradio regarding a £60 shed on the Homebase website. It was a genuine price mistake (should have been £200) and they cancelled the order and refunded the customer. Apparently they are within their rights to do this.....Sorry!Best wins: ITV Real Deal CASH,Trip to Lapland.0

Whilst bad for customer service, they do have the right to change the price right up to the moment they take money off you. I worked in EB (now Game) and occassionally an item would be stickered up wrongly - it was the manger's discretion as to whether we honoured the price or not.0

You dont have any come back. Under the law it comes under "invitation to treat"
They can easily get out of it by claiming its a mistake, the only plausible claim you could have is if money changed hands and they agreed to the sale then relented0 -
Hi
Oh well:rolleyes: thanks for all your replies!! If it's too good to be true eh....
Well I'll go in tomorrow and see what they say but I wont hold my breath!!

Take your print of the price off the web site go and get your wood when scanned at the till bring out your print and put your case forward . I have travelled ?? miles spent all this time and money getting here etc. You have nothing to loose if you can't get the timber cheaper else where i have found B&Q reasonable nothing ventured nothing gained!!!!0
