Hubby has a contract with 3 for 18 months has done 11 months with them and his phone stopped working properly so it was taken in for repair it he was able to use it but only just they have said unable to repair due to liquid damage - now it may have got very slightly damp but not very wet, they refuse to supply another phone, he wasnt told about insurance when he got the phone assumed it was in the contract and now unless he buys another phone from 3 wont have a phone to use. The phone doesnt work at all now we have it back.
Anyone any ideas I dont think the phone was suitable for the purpose it was sold and just for a laugh the rude girl in the shop said "you wouldnt take a television outside!!!" doh they arnt mobile!! I could have punched her,
any help or ideas gratefully received
Thanks:mad:

    Holley,

My daughter is having exactly this problem with 3 and she's only 4 months into an 18 month contract with 3. Have you had any progress with this? I've suggested that she take the phone to an independent phone repairer and get a report done on it.
  • What is supposed to have caused the 'liquid damage' (which seems a bit airy fairy to me)?

If it is suggested that because the phone has had some rain on it, then you certainly have a case - it would not be "fit for purpose". Was it suggested that something else caused this?

Also, what repair service has told you this - just someone in their shops, or was the phone sent away?
