Hi Badgerbread,
do you have a budget to work with?
Novatech have a good selection of laptops.
Also, Dell have regular deals on their website as well

i would say just dell
your teen shouldnt be doing too much, and dell laptops are just made for basic use it should be perfect.0 -
The only thing I would say is don't buy too far in advance. The specs change constantly and if you buy now then by Christmas you will get a better spec for your money. I'd also suggest Dell. Have a look at https://www.dmxdimension.com they list all of the Dell offers. It's dificult to offer any other advice without knowing a rough budget. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Being a Mac geek, I think a low-end Macbook is a great investment. But Dells are great value for money and they're popular with those shopping on a budget. Alternatively, places like PC World or Comet usually have cheap laptops on offer and a sales advisor would probably help you understand specs and usability etc.0

wait till x mas as they will go on sale
for general wireless internet, make sure you have a wireless router etc...
Laptop wise if they just want to do basic surfing and internet, word processing music downloads then any cheap laptop will do, £200-£300 per laptop, 1gig ram is enough for this, most processers can handle this easily, it depends on if they want to play 3d games or use photoshop, or other graphics based programmes
I would recommend buying new ones, laptops tend to break down a lot more then desktops.0 -
Thanks for all the replies I was looking to spend about £250 on each laptopMake £5 a day in May total so far £20
