Jetmaster compared to a stove

does anyone know where I can find independent comparison between these for heat output.Jetmasters websit claims they are as efficent as a woodburning stove with the added advantage of an open fire rather than a stove. Of course its easier to burn softwood in a stove as it spits so I suppose that evens out. But for the same amount of wood which is the more efficent in heat output.? Is there a source of independent information out there or has someone had or have both.

You'll get the best delivery from a free-standing stove (but 'guard' it well) , not tucked into a fireplace , and maximising the length of flue inside the house , not up the chimney . Think of the pioneering American approach with the Franklin stove and flue set-up .
I think Jetmaster are spinning . Stoves are more efficient than heating up your stonework .0 -
Personally I think you're better off with a stove. If you feel the need to burn it with the doors open occasionally, you can. However, it's way safer with doors, not to mention a lot more controllable. Less heat liable to be wasted up the flue on a windy day. My brother in law has one of these, and although it throws out great heat I'd be happier with doors to close over if I leave the room - even for a moment. Wood spits. Occasionally hardwoods and even coal can too. Can't understand why anyone wouldn't want doors. You have the best of both worlds.Money can't buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.
