Temporary broadband connection

Hello everyone!
Is there a temporary way I can connect my laptop to the internet, without having, BT, Cable or a long term contract! I suppose the only way would be WIFi etc!
I have just moved flats and having to wait until the 11th before BT can connect the line, and how long before I can get broadband!
Some pay as you go offer!

You could see if any of your neighbors have wireless broadband and ask them if they could allow you access and offer them some cash for doing so.
As far as wifi I think they are all contract normally but I maybe wrong.Kind Regards
