I'm not a mum so not experienced, but read this thread this morning, then noticed that Halfords have a stroller/buggy half price at £29.99 atm. Hope this is useful to somone!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

The problem I've had today is that he's too tall for a lot of the buggies. His head pokes out of them and some I couldn't even get the hood over his head. There were 3 big enough. A mamas and papas one at £89 that was suitable for newborns too, a maclaren one at £140 and the bugaboo at £ :rotfl: amount!
Now I know his height is a problem (He's tall from the waist up but has short legs) I can look around for ones with a high back.
Thanks all.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
We have a 20 month old with no.2 due in 2 months. We went for https://www.philandteds.com the E3 explorer. Cost 339 from Kiddicare, but will allow you to carry the newborn and toddler at the same time, the newborn lies flat while you put another seat on the top for the toddler to sit in. Then coverts to sit both upright when youngest can sit up.
Supposedly good until they are 4 years old, but you need to think if you'll get your moneys worth out of it if no1 son is already 2.
Expensive, but well worth it IMO. Looks the mutts nuts too;)
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
GR- Can't advise on any of the above due to my boy only being 14 months and 2nd will appear when it does.

Yup. Kind of goes like this: Making baby, fun. Pregnancy, not fun. Labour, NOT FUN! Having baby here, fun.

I would go for what Raspberry_Ripples has recommended. I saw it 6months agos and was so impressed with its ease of movement. It moves like a single buggy but you have two in it. On Saturday I saw it with a Dad pushing it along. He has two four year olds sleeping it it and he was pushing it up the hill. It is expensive but you might be able to get it on eBay.. but may not because it is fairly new to the UK.
I found that when I asked mums with the normal double buggies that they found it hard to push and move about. I am sure with the above buggy that you could get on a bus with it. May be Raspberry_Ripples can answer this.
If the cost seems a lot then you can think that as long that it is good working condition when you have finished with it you could sell it.
Hay just looked on eBay and you can buy it on ebay.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

i'd recommend looking at prams somewhere, then finding them cheaper online. i bought my new buggy from kiddicare without seeing it in real life and it's very erm, compact! baby is only 14 weeks old and he fills it, it already looks too small for him.
the graco one mentioned looks like the one i had for my 9 year old. it was a hundred and came with all the bits from mothercare. i can't praise it enough and it lasted until he was 4 (occasional use, he wasn't still being pushed around at 4 on a daily basis lol!). i gave it away, wish i hadn't but i might buy another one at that price :-) i'd double check before buying another (i'll have to replace the teeny tiny citisport soon) just to make sure it's big enough for my oversized baby but if my oldest was in it at 4 i'd imagine it would be okay for most 3 year olds.52% tight0
