the sheet did not say very much, it was just a delivery note with other delivery addresses on it, and we did not get a copy:confused:
I have looked at the terms and conditions of the company and it says if there is a fault they must repair or replace with no extra cost to us..if you want to look its a company called vertigo interiors...perhaps Im reading it wrong ?
but I think it is there responsability:confused:

What are you actually wanting ? Them to give you the correct chairs you ordered plus a new table in place of the damaged one would be my choice but I'm confused as to why you have brought compensation in to it plus if you mentioned compensation to them I would bet they thought you were trying it on.

The signing bit is irrelevant. Its really not reasonable to expect you to check something like this on receipt unless it is obviously damaged. I would also have expected it to be bubble wrapped or protected in some other way which makes it even more difficult to check for bumps and knocks or damage sustained in manufacture

I suggest you decide what you are wanting from the company. Take photographs of the damage and keep a record of your contact with the company and details of conversations. Doing it in writing is good, Email acceptable if in case of last resort you need to go to the small claims court

You mentioned earlier that you have been to CAB so not sure as to why your still asking on here as they will usually help in negotiation with the company involved. Go back to CAB if you get no satisfaction from the company and they will help you and give you your options

    Hi and thanks,
I only asked about compensation in the first instance as that was what the company were offering, but as the days go on Im getting more upset and all I want is the correct chairs and a new table top, I emailed the company last night and today to as just that but I have not had any response yet! and yes we sent photos as soon as we noticed the damage
Oh I have not been to CAB but only visited their web site to get info better to have too much information then none at all
sent you a pm with a little more info

Hi to all, well I am still waiting on the new table top(that was 10 weeks ago)and that was the agreement that I would get a replacement , but now we are having a huge problem with the chairs.
They are all cracking, like hairline fractures, on the back-rest and under the seat, and it is really BAD, e-mailed company 4 times before any response, his quote was it is normal wear and tear!!!! after 2 and a half months, and the e-mail went on to be quite slanderous to my hubby and me...I only want my products to last and we are certainly not destroying these things on purpose what would be the point of that???....telephoned CAB got a meeting on monday to see what route I take next
