Well after ringing them back to get a new phone I was told I could not have one. This drove me up the wall so I directly emailed the Head of Customer Relations with my complaint.
He put me through to the Head of Something where they offered me a replacement phone to choose from, however these were worse and older than my current phone so I rejected the offer.
However the nice lady put a £10 discount on my contract for the remainder of my contract.
I might stay with O2 at the end of my contract, just depends if they offer me a good dealCashback
