Does anyone know why my System Restore keeps switching itself off? I have had to switch it back on several times now. Most grrrring.

What's System Restore for anyway? All it's ever done for me is prevent spyware/viruses from being removed.0

It's useful if a programn or driver beggers things up, and so hopeful restore to a previos position prior to installation of driver or software0

How did you run your Antivirus,,, Adaware scan was it in safe mode or restore disabled?0

Yeah run your Antivirus in safe mode if possible, reboot machine
and tap F8 on start up then run Antivirus.
With Adaware or similar program run with Sys Restore off
then turn back on after scan...0 -
just another quicky ( oooeeer) , everything is upto date? av, firewall, adaware, xp updates?
it may be worth once you have tried Mr Skint's suggestion if it doesnt resolve matters to have a look in your task manager processes. anything that looks suspect, write down and google for. you may have picked up something that has got through your firewall and av.what is the plural of moose?
