Advice - Non Delivery after 6weeks from ARGOS
Comments
-
I'm sure if I wanted to get the beds from Homebase 6weeks ago the cost would be the same. its only since the new Argos catalogue has come out, that the price of beds, and price of delivery has increased.
I'm going to call them again later tonight, and see what happens0 -
I had a somewhat similar problem with Argos which I wrote about on another Argos bed thread. I can't face telling it all again here but the upshot is that
1) They pretend to have beds in stock but in fact order them when you buy them.
2) When 'your' bed arrives they will happily sell it to someone else if you can't take delivery the second (often at ridiculously short notice!) it comes in.
3) When they leave you without a bed they wait for the customer to chase it up rather than ringing you straight away to re-arrange delivery. They don't care when you get it because they already have your money.
4) If you decide to cancel because you think the service is KERAPP then it takes 2 weeks for the refund to go through. They KNOW this discourages you from cancelling and going elsewhere.
There was a happy end to my story - everyone was very happy with the bed when it finally did arrive. But I wouldn't order a bed from Argos again or any large furniture TBH.Don't grow up. Its a trap!
Peace, love and labradors!0 -

RESULT ..... called them back last night, and its getting delivered Friday AM.
i hope it was worth the wait, and the kids can settle into their new bedrooms for a week before school
