Free French Sim Card Wanted

Since there's an abundance of free uk sim-cards. Does anyone know how to get hold of free french sims, or spanish/italian/ any ec sims?

I think they have a whole different system over there. Basic cost is around 30€ or so with a few euros of credit.

I tried the 0044 website but too expensive so back to good old eBay. The cheapest ones are those near to the end of their validity. There's a couple on eBay now but that's about the cheapest you can get.

Many cards have an initial credit amount similar to the initial cost, so that is effectively the same.

In France, Breizh often does this; they also seem to have some hybrid inclusive minute bundles now. http://www.breizhmobile.com/

As JPR suggests, 0044 is rather expensive. I would reckon eBay a bit risky. Buy when you get there.

Do a search on eBay for "Carte Nomad"; "SFR La Carte"; "Mobicarte". There's usually lots of sellers of cards going with little or no credit. Establish how long the shelf life of the card is, as the credit on French sims expires after a month or two of topup and for receiving calls after (typically) another six months.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a French one meantime, which cost 30e but when I get there in January it'll be touch and go if it's expired. (I might just make it by a day) A bit bloomin' annoying that the credit expires after such a short time - they must make a fortune with that little game. I was just hoping for a couple of freebies for me and the missus, but looks like we'll have to make do or buy another one or two.

see if you can log in online and top it up next month - or phone the CS from here and ask them to reactivate or extend it - I managed this with a network in another country, and others have too.

in your case,I think it is better you phone to CS, it is more effect than you activitave in the net.
