Could someone tell me if it is OK to use the latest MOCs published in Daily Mail in Tescos (Tatler etc) against general shopping even though it doesn't specifically state Tescos on MOC - just 'participating stores' (which I am assuming they are 'participating' in by accepting them at till as they scan ok if you having an accomadating SA?). Or are they not redeemable by Tescos by manufacturer and if so should we not be using them? as we I don't want to upset Tescos and they stop accepting coupons altogether??

no as tesco cannot get there money bk on these coupons. just cos it scans dont mean it can be used. if stores keep getting these coupons, to which they cannot get their money bk, they will stop the policy. for the sake of a few quid off yr shopping, in the long run its not worth having the policy stopped or restricted in yr store and ruining it for others who go by tescos policy.0 -
I have printed off a few coupons now (about £6 worth and usually spend c£80) and was going to use them when I was shopping on Monday - planned to use them for purchasing the actual items but now I am a little apprehensive about even doing this!
Never used coupons before and I will dread that the SA will say no now - even tho' using them legitimately ! Hope I will not be cringing at the tills!!:o0 -

Well Lovely Lisa,
Yes, it is a public posting site but you have to abide to the rules set up by MSE. MOD are not rude they just keep all posts "Clean" and easy for everybody, (NO Chat) means no chat simple as that.0 -

It seems it's now down to store discression now.
Both Tesco Extra stores in Cardiff no longer seem to accept internet coupons with the reason given, that their coupon policy had been abused, so they only now accept manufacturers coupons for products purchased.

Does anyone have any info on what rival supermarket coupons are accepted. I.e. the £2 off £20 spend type coupons.
How close does the rival supermarket have to be to the store?
thanks0 -

Tescos definately take the spend and save coupons from Sainsburys. Not sure if it matters how close they are to each other.0 -
