  • Really disappointed tonight.

I tried three Tesco's in East London, all of which would not accept my vouchers!

I showed the manager kindly the policy but she was reading the point where it says:

    'We do accept Internet Coupons'
    as
'We do not accept Internet Coupons'

Not sure where she was finding the NOT from, but finally after hee agreeing that it does not have a NOT in the sentence, she says my vouchers are photocopied =(

    Good whilst it lasted!

    =(

I'm relatively new to this forum and using MOC's and I have to honest please or offend I'm sick n tired of it all.

Yes it is fustrating when some staff know the policy and others don't (been there done that again and again) but at the end of the day as Tesco state "it is down to the managers discretion on the acceptance of internet vouchers" - if he says no its no - head office are not going to change the managers mind. Thats the get out clause.

I agree the constant emails could result in a potential problem with using MOCs in the way we all do.

But I am sick n tired of coming on here to find the constant bickering.

I used to enjoy coming on here and have a laugh/smile at some of the comments on here.

As I've already said please or offend, I am not going to enter into any discussion on this, this is just how I feel.

I agree I don't think any good can come of asking them over and over, before the thread was restarted you could have counted 20 posts in the last few weeks with members stating they had emailed for the policy and the answer is always the same infact now it is word for word they are copying and pasting it must be so common a query!
The policy is not advertised in store on the web or anywhere else and is not common knowledge, it is not "offical" and always at managers discression for a reason because the manafacturer would not reimburse Tesco if it had proof the Pedigree coupon had been used for Tesco bread buns for eg.
So many emails about the coupon policy could lead Tescos into thinking the policy had now become too high profile and so should be stopped.

There is no reason for a shop to not accept coupons though is there? As I said earlier they are the brands freebies/discounts not the stores?

There is if people don't use them to buy the brands they are intended for. Which is what this is all about!

I've not tried any yet, but i think i heard it works if they type the bar code in ;)

Does anyone know if co-op take money off coupons, what with Somerfield been taken over by them and all. It would be good if they did, but i have a feeling they wont :o

    Printing Coupons
Hi I really want to start printing coupons but can never seem to actually print anything. My partner downloaded some software but still no luck.Everytime it states that I have something ticked in my settings and need to change.I do this and click apply but the same message appears.

Just wondered if you had any ideas of how I can print off these vouchers?

Also could anyone confirm that I have read the thread correctly: You can use one coupon if it is not issued by Tesco without buying the product?

    Thanking you in advance

Cannot advise on your printer problem but can confirm that you can use one manufacturer's coupon not issued by Tesco without buying the product (at the manager's discretion though)

Yes, the brands are paying, thinking that we are all buying their products. Do i really need to spell it out for you? I never said the stores were losing out - they are making a mint (ive never been to Tesco's so much in my life, and i ALWAYS spend a fortune on top of the tokens i use). But their policy IS generous, and a welcome one in these difficult times (i used to buy the products i did'nt need, just to use the coupns and 'save money' lol).

Anyway, lets just enjoy it while it lasts, and help others on here with questions. I know everyone is just trying to clairify the matter for their own store, and i understand that.

My Tesco started only accepting ONE coupon recently. After 2 visits using one, i tried 3 coupons with no problem. Last week i used 8, still no problem. I think they may have recieved the memo posted on here.

I always go armed with a copy of their policy, just so they don't make me look a crook if i am pulled up, but i havent needed it yet.

I am on holiday next week, and will be trying 2 different Tesco's whilst i'm away, as i got my clubcard statement today. Can't say i'm looking forward to trying out a new store.

p.s - don't forget, you cannot use more than ONE of each coupon at the same time, unless you buy the product. Even if you do, some may think you have copied it, so use the duplicate on your next trip to save you the hassle.
