In paypal there seems to be an option to send an invoice in USD - then just a matter of paying it using the citicard linked to the USD account - on receipt in paypal you then have the option to exchange to GBP or keep a USD balance - plus of course you can refund the transaction up to 60 days and get all the fees back :)

Still waiting on citibank for my refund now though...

Has anyone used their debit card to withdraw cash in Europe from a non-Citi ATM?

Just wondering if you are always charged a fee if withdrawing from non-citi ATM's?

    Cheers, Des.

Yep. Took €100 out of Volksbank in Cochem, Germany in December. No fee charged in that instance, just a straight €100 debit from the account.

Excellent, thanks for letting me know!

Generally with the citicard there is no cash withdrawal fee unless the machine you are drawing from makes a charge whether in UK or elsewhere

I have arranged for a PayPal invoice over £75 via PayPal.

I read PayPal's help section on foreign currency conversion, according to which PayPal prompts the user whether he wants PayPal to convert or the card provider.

When I get to the Payment screen it says
    Credit/Debit Card: $75.00 USD from Visa/Delta/Electron XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Can I be sure that when I hit the Pay button that PayPal will not convert?
