To the techie guys,
I have just spent ages looking for a thread that I know existed, but because the search does not seem to let you use inverted commas for phrases or AND OR or NOT to narrow down the search I had to wade through countless posts and eventually gave up:mad: . It is not the first time I have noticed this so surely I can't be the only one???
Confused? I will give you my example: I am trying to find a recipe similar to that of the soup which won the "Breaking into Tesco" tv show. I remember a thread discussing this and the food featured and hoped there might be something useful there. If I could have searched for "breaking into tesco", for instance, I am sure there would have only been a handful of hits and I would have been happy. Instead I get every post mentioning breaking, into, or tesco!!! even though the inverted commas are there!
Is there some reason that this way of searching is not available here? (or have I just overlooked something:o )
Thanks, MrsB.

I to wish the search worked better.
COuld someone please tell me how te search for multiple words and get results that only inculde both words. The search always seems to return posts that have either word in.
I was just searching for the amazon s3 service and got 1000's of posts with amazon in, but none with both terms.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

I know it's a work around, but you can do a site-specific search on google. So put in, for example "breaking into tesco" site:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com, which means that the site which is searched is the moneysavingexpert forums. You need to make sure that there is no space between the site: and the site you would like to search. Hope that helps!
