M&S High Summer Sale

  • Visited the Bluewater store in Kent. All the summer stuff that M&S didn't have in the last sale was knocked down. Collezione and Autograph shirts for men were all down to about £15.00 and very good value for money. There are also lots of trousers from these labels at highly accessible prices. You have to look around the store, though, for some of the things. For example, lots of Autograph trousers mixed in with run-of-the-mill Blue Harbour stuff.
I bought much more in this sale than in the last one three weeks ago. Although the amount of stock knocked down is good for us as consumers, it does sort of suggest that M&S are having a hard time shifting stock. Mind you, who needed short sleeve shirts this "summer"? I have hardly taken my snow parka off it has been so miserable. Last year was just as bad!!!

My first online order has actually been despatched...with no out of stock items. Only four more orders to go but perhaps they're finally getting their act together!

I actually placed an order for non-sale stuff at 8pm on the 18th (then another one for different stuff the next day when I realised there was a Sale on) and have had an email tonight cancelling some of it. That brings it just under £30 so they've added delivery on now too - my order now has fewer items but costs more! Will be giving them a ring methinks..........
  • I never bother with the M&S sale online, it's usually a waste of time! I've had so many orders messed up or completely cancelled. Much easier to go and buy the stuff at the store.

Completely caught out as expecting the sale to start Thursday as they usually do. Popped around to my local M&S last night and assistant who served me said she was very surprised too!

Didn't think there was much in the sale and there is still a fair amount of summer stock on the rails full price. I'm betting there is still more to come from the M&S summe sale!

I rarely buy on line either - unless I've seen the item instore first. M&S sizes and cut are so variable. And you can't feel the fabric or see the colour properly online - and there is no-one like M&S for strange fabrics and bizarre colours!

Definately agree with that one! :D

I thought this sale was going to be better than the last sale though but there seems a lot less stuff in this sale on the whole.

    Hi

For some reason I thought that the homeware section was going into the sale today but it hasn't! Did I just dream this or has anyone else heard that homeware would be reduced!??
    Thanks
  • I ordered 19 items on Monday night and 10 are coming today with the rest being dispatched "soon".

It was the same in the last sale for me, I recieved everything I ordered within 4 days, so I can't complain.
