I am not sure this would work. BT went around the exchanges and reprogrammed all LU lines so that they could not use prefix codes [like '18866'] originally [in 2000]. They may have been adding to the exclusions ever since, and could be blocking certain 0800/0808 numbers also [Only way to find out is to try this on an exisitng LU line]Steve_xx wrote:You should be able to use 18866/1899 etc via their 0808 access numbers. BT may well block selective 0808/0808 numbers from LU's.
Orange did much the same. The result was that the companies who operated 0800 access simply issued a new 0800 number.0 -
Could be - I've found a BT callbox that has certain calling card numbers barred.0
