I need a bit of help, Marjory stuck in a rut. I need some meal accompaniment ideas that are not chips or mash. Had a bit of luck with yellow stickers at the weekend and as a result I now have 12 pork loin steaks, 4 beef sirloin steaks, 8 pork chops and 8 chicken breasts in my freezer. Total cost £5.12
Now i just need ideas for what to serve with them that isn't mash or chips.

Hiya,
How about saute potatoes or some kind of potato bake?
made a lovely bake the other day using wholegrain mustard cheese & cream. boiled together the mustard & cream with a little cheese until it tastes right & then pour over sliced parboiled potatoes & cover with cheese. Bake in the oven until cheese is golden.

Layered potatoes. In a dish layer sliced potatoes and sliced onions with a sprinkling of dried thyme, salt and pepper in between the layers. Pour over enough stock to almost cover. Cook in the oven for about 40 minutes. This is really tasty and easy to do.0

use any variety of grains if you get bored. there's quinoa, millet, bulghar wheat which you can just boil up with water until cooked.
Or have some meat with lentils and salad.0 -
what about baked sweet potato, or a load of oven roasted veg, in balsamic vinegar and chilli powder - yummy!!
