Annoying ring tones
I bought a Sony Ericson mobile yesterday and the ring tones are all electronic.
I want a decent ring ring tone, is it possible to get a friend at work to blue tooth to me what I'm looking for. Also how do you do this?
It is W580i model.
Any help would be appreciated.

yes you can bluetooth stuff to and from the w580 (and all other SE phones with bluetooth:) )
to receive stuff: set the other phone up to send the file then on your phone > settings > connectivity tab > bluetooth > turn on and wait for the transfer to come through > once transfer is finished, turn off the bluetooth.
to send stuff: navigate to the file that you want to send in the file manager > more > send > via bluetooth > search for the phone and press select to start the transfer0 -
Hello Gaming - Guy.
My friend has a Nokia and as i said before mine is the SE W58oi model.
Is it possible to pinch his standard ring tone, i.e ring ring and blue tooth it to mine.
Easy instructions please.0 -
If you look on the Sony Ericsson web site, they have a download area where you can D/L free of charge ringtones. I downloaded a 'classic phone' ringtone which sounds like it may be what you want ( my phone is a K800i - don't know if this makes a difference)0

yes, it should be.
i dont have a nokia to hand, so most of this is guesswork: open up the gallery > navigate to sounds or music (or memory card > sounds/music if its on a memory card) > find the file and press options > look for a send option > via bluetooth > then it should be scanning for bluetooth devices. the default bluetooth name for your phone will be W580i unless you have changed it0 -
hi Rubble 2. how did you d/l for free. I have now registered. please give me easy instructions0

Hi Jill,
Go to Sony ericsson uk web site, the home page has a section on the right hand side named 'Fun & Downloads' click on the link marked ringtones and a new page opens. There is a tab marked 'Free Stuff', click on this and the free ringtones are displayed, you can preview them and select the one(s) you want. When you choose one and click on it, there is a clickable link titled 'How to download' just follow the instructions there0
