I haven't done any flying yet today. I can't post my lists easily as my right mouse button has given up working. Is that a good excuse not to do any flying. I can't take my list to the kitchen.

    Own list
Complete Sudent loan application for DS1
    Pay elec bill
    Pay water bill
Put in all invoices for mortgage application
    Sort paperwork for 15 mins

We just got the dog back from the vets and she has a gunky ear and ear infection and we need to take her back on Thursday as her bloods showed some kidney problem. £110!!

Oh, I've just spotted HHC. I will join in now!
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

  • Afternoon ladies!
Back from work now and aiming to do level 2 together with some decluttering from DS's bedroom before cheating and cooking Ikea meatballs and wedges for tea.

Very exciting - my new laptop arrived today (free with mobile phone) so am now trying to set it up - I wish I was cleverer at computers and techie stuff!

Weather here is yeuch (cool and damp) which is typical - I bet when school starts in a fortnight it will be gloriously sunny and warm!!

    Ah well!

Just a quick cup of coffee and then its HHC in DSs room - wish me luck!

    Hugs to DeniseNZ

    hi ladies

i'm back from my hols finally. we had a wet but enjoyable time. i'm absolutely knackered (ds2 has been waking for feeds 2-3 times every night) but need to quickly jump back on the wagon as we have friends from uni visiting us for the weekend and the house is looking manky complete with an invasion of fruit flies.

we are also up financial creek with no paddle and sinking quickly. ILs did the food shop and the bill was split between us all, and they managed to blow the best part of £500 on food and booze. i've had to take £550 out of my savings, and we still only have £2.92 till the end of the month. it will be interesting as i ran the cupboards and freezer down before the hols so we pretty much have lentils, pasta, beans, chicken nuggets and fish fingers, plus a sprouting bag of spuds. EEK.

Also, car insurance due for DH's car on 1/09, brother is 18 on 12/09, 5 other family birthdays in September, 2 this month, plus DH going to a stag do. October not much better as another wedding, DS1's 2nd birthday, plus 2 other family birthdays. November, my car insurance, and then it will be xmas and no more wages for me.

I'm trying to be proactive, so we were shopping round for car insurance last night, and saved a few hundred quid, and i have applied to defer payments of my student loan.

Guess i will be trying to do things very cheaply.

    Flying today:
    • WM - 1 load of dark clothes from hols
    • internet banking - paid some bills and paid money to FIL,
    • found out wage slips to fill in loan deferment form
    • found out mortgage paper work to sort out a new insurance quote
    • dealt with 2 spoilt and grotty children who both want 100% attention after having daddy and grandparents and BIL for the past 10 days
    • tried to keep catching fruit flies - they are still everywhere despite hoovering loads up.
From what i have read of the thread (this weeks only as last weeks was 39 pages and i will not have chance to read it)
denise sorry about MIL - hope it is only mild and she can fully recover from it.

tia - wow a new business. Well done,

lil-me i hear it was your birthday. Hope you had a good one. The big 3-0 wasn't it?

Right, best go and try and do some more while ds1 is asleep. it will be one-handed though as ds2 refuses to sleep for more than 10 minutes before waking and wanting more attention. thank god i can type one-handed.

So here's what I achieved in the HHC -

I tided the kitchen (again) of lunch debris, hoovered the d/s toilet, kitchen, living room, hallway, stairs, landing, bathroom and 3 bedrooms. Wiped over the PC desk and took stuff upstairs and return 'bits' to their homes.

The kids are now upstairs amusing themselves with the Olympics(DS) and colouring in (DD). So I should have a bit of peace whilst watching Ghost Whisperer but........the police helicopter is up and the damn thing always ends up hovering for ages right over my house.

So here's all I have left to do from my list -

Monday Marvels - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Extra Mission : help yourself
    3. 32 fling boogie..
    4. GO! buy yourself a treat.. you deserve it!

    My normal dailies -
    Keep ironing together (x15)
Sort clean washing & put clothes away.
    Tidy & S&S bathroom.
    Wash bathroom floor.
    Walk the dog

I have also done 2 loads of washing and scrubbed the swimming pool out. I'm absolutely shattered - haven't been able to sleep the last few nights and I've now got a headache on top of everything else.
Better go and get started on dinner in a minute - roast chicken and all the trimmings, yummy.

Right, so Ive been watching but never getting into it.
Ive noticed you all say to start a bit at a time so I went through the thread over the weekend and printed the frozen foods guide. Neatly bound and displayed on my nightstand for bedtime reading.

I had a few radiator racks that were poorly used so I hung then on the backs of various doors with some kitchen hooks-then hung all the bookstart bags and shopping bags etc on them.

Then I mailed some "organised home" sheets to DH to print so that I can get them laminated.

I also found some old scraps of material that I stiched up to make a bag, to which I attached some velcro to hang on the sofa-No more lost remote controls:j .

Ive cleaned the kitchen and done the ironing for the week (still need to pack it away).

Now Im having a coffie break before DS and I start going through his toys to see which ones can be put in the loft and freecycled etc-oh yes I also freecycled some old baby stuff over the weekend:D

Looking at all this I think Ive done quite a bit for starters, but I need someone to beat me senseless to keep it up :rolleyes2 any volunteers?

My ultimate question is how do you deal with it all and keep the kids entertained, educated etc. My DS is two and still home with me and so often I neglect the house to occupy him.
