cheap cake decorations in TESCO & ASDA & cake mixes too !

At the moment in these two supermarkets
they have their cake decorations on offer
below in this pic everything here cost less
than 20p each.

The dearest amongst this lot was
the orange and lemon slices 20p
the silver balls were 13p and they
are also doing the suger flowers
sold out here but they are expecting
more 16p a pot

The 24 candles & holders cost 16p
the jelly diamonds are 16p a tub

worth a look if you are planning to
do any baking and everything has
long sell bye dates the shortest
was 04/2009.

A lot of the food colourings and
flavourings were 13p to 18p each

its all the Supercook & Dr Oetker range

You were robbed ... I picked up the orange and lemon slices today and paid 13p for them, also picked up the jelly diamonds for 16p. Managed to grab most of the rest a couple of months ago. I managed to get the pens to write on the icing for 40p and marshmallows for 24p.

As Rosekitten says fantastic find, and they always seem to stock the shelves. They are supposed to be changing the prices now they are rebranded but at the moment they are still low in price.

What a lovely idea! I saw some baking bargains in my Tesco a couple of weeks ago (they only had candles and alphabet icing left today) and was itching for an excuse to buy twice as much as I did.

I have done this, its not complete yet, I have hundreds and thousands, jelly diamonds, chocky strands, silver balls, marshmallows, icing writing pens orange and lemon strands, have picked him up 2 cookie cutters, a plastic bowl and a wooden spoon. Need to get a couple more pieces though to put in. Simple things like cake cases.

  • I'm doing this for my niece. I have made her an apron and was asking on the hampers thread if anyone could think of anything else I could make to match and what to put it in I was thinking of a shopping trolley. I'm off into town in a minute to look for a mixing bowl and spoons. I was thinking of making my own cake mix in a pretty jar I have to add to it.
