they were supposed to be offer of the week on amazon the baking kits but sold out the first day and they put a few more on each day for another 2 or 3 days .Then they disappeared from the offers and were out of stock.
If you didn't order the first day you were lucky to get any .

They all went, then a few more came back on but by the time I looked gone each time  - they were posted on the 'Grabbit' board

just my luck never mind thanks
    for letting me know.

    Forgot to mention the peppermint
essence is 16p a bottle in Tesco
got two of them one for me and
    one for my hamper.
    thinking that peppermint creams
are really easy for kids to make.

Having done the rounds of various tescos, sainsburys and Asda in my travels this last week or so I have thankfully managed to pick up a good assortment to do 3 cookery hampers. The last Tesco's I was in this morning had a load of the Sugar Flowers that I know seem to be hard to come buy. I bought more than I needed as I would have been happy to pass them on. I have just checked on the Royal Mail site though and it would have to go at package price which starts at 95p so not really worth it. If anyone lives near the Sale branch, South Manchester they have loads in there.

I shall just hang onto the extra ones and use them do decorate cupcakes for my daughter's birthday.

Found a nice size stainless steel bowl in Wilkinsons for 90p as well, I decided I'd rather use it for my son's hamper as I don't need anymore plastic bowls!!

just an update here to my last post
where I was looking for suger flowers
I had not realised Sainsburys had theirs
reduced as well and then it occoured to
me that I should try a Sainsbury in a more
affluent area as they may not have as
many poorer customers like me.Well this
proved to be quite a good theory as the
shelves had everything from the range
    including reduced chocolate sprinkles
    49p,angelica 49p.So I stocked up.I also
noticed that there are also reduced cake
mixes too something I had never noticed
before.Below is the Greens chocolate fudge
cake mix reduced from £1.97 to 49p
and the lemon meringue crunch 45p
Also Asda have the Greens cheese cake mix 38p

My DH is a baker and reckons if you buy two
packets of the cheese cake mix and make it
into one cheese cake you will get a decent
large sized 8 or 9 inch cheese cake from them.
Add a flavouring to it and you cant tell the
difference from a shop bought one.Reckons
there is lots you can add to enhance these
if you wanted to,even extra double cream
at the last minute.Either way its a very cheap
alternative to a shop bought ready made one
and they have done it from time to time when
running short.Reckons you need a decent food
mixer or someone who can whisk these into a
    frenzy by hand

Like wise double up the proportions on the Lemon
meringue pop in the zest of a lemon to add more
flavour, again a good sized one in the end.

Cheating or what ! Blows the theory of bakers
rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in to
    make stuff from scratch.

Also the Betty Crocker Bisquick mix is down to
38p a box in Asda this makes really nice scotch
pancakes and regular ones too as well according to
    other half pretty decent scones.

I bought hundreds and thousands, sugar strands, silver balls, sugar flowers, vanilla flavouring, almond flavouring and a box of 6 sachets of gelatine (30p) and some mixed chopped nuts Tesco's own brand which were 19p - I went to another larger Tesco and the nuts were priced at around 89p there so I think they priced it wrong in the small Tesco!!!!

I noticed that the ground almonds
were heavily reduced in Asda I think
they were 50p for a good sized bag
    anyone looking for ingrediants for
    their christmas cake or puddings
should keep a watch out because
each week there seems to be
    something in those lines reduced.
Tesco has their own brand marzipan
reduced this week, the its the one
    from their extra special range.

my Local tescos and asda have run out of stuff now....the shelves are empty. Glad I stocked up. One thing I did notice though was a little house shaped box for £4.99 which included:

    12 Mini cake papers
    1 bag of cake mix
    1 bag of icing
    small hundred of thousands
    sugar strands
and a couple of other things

I couldn't believe the price, I have put together 3 baking hampers and they have only cost me £15 for all of them. And have more stuff in them!!!

    Thanks for the Idea Again!!

  • Looked Like my local Tesco's was getting ready to put the Xmas cake stuff out yesterday, still managed to get a few bargins though

    Icing sugar shakers 8p
Tesco own sponge cake mix 15p
Tescos own Choc Cake mix 16p
Ready to Roll icing (Red, black, blue, yellow in a box) 88p
    Mini cake papers 32p
White cooking Chocolate 44p (for a Large Block)
Gold and Silver Candles with holders 32p
    Choc Muffin Mix 49p

All had good dates on, but were on the little shelf with all the other reduced stock not with the baking stuff as they were cleaning them shelves and looked like they had christmasy stuff on the trolly to put out.
