    Either You can phone them (at 1.2p per minute or free if they also have skype) or they can phone you for free if they have skype.
    You can also, if you prefer, get an 'ordinary' phone number from skype - but I think that is quite expensive.

    I wouldn't use skype. The quality can be abysmal at times.

    Have you a friend with a land line you could stay with the night before?
    Or a neighbour who would let you call over in the morning?
