My AVG displayed the above message this morning. It wouldnt install the latest update, giving the same message as reason for the update failing. Can anyone tell me what to do ?
TIA

Why are people still using this program? Oh yes, because it's free.0

I Googled this when I got this this morning, and found this site:
http://www.topix.com/forum/world/australia/TASO3T76BBQPCOQT7
And there were plenty of similar hits with the same sort of message. Basically have to wait for AVG to fix their update, nothing major to worry about in the meantime (AVG is as good as its last update).0 -
I've got this as well. I recently installed sevice pack 3 as an update and this is the first time I've tried to update AVG. Has this got anything to do with it?0

Phew! I'm glad I came across this thread. I got the same bin file missing message this morning after paying to have my pc fixed yesterday as a virus came in and wrecked my OS. It's good to know it's AVG's fault as I was beginning to feel I'd been ripped off by the computer engineer!0

Try it again as mine has just updated successfullyMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
Yes mine has just updated successfully as well. I went into tools and clicked on update and it worked so AVG may have now fixed the problem and you don't even have to click on the tools menu at all.0
