April, I bought 4 x Reading festival tickets, £806, Paypal funded via credit card.
Tickets are always sent out a few days before the festival
Seller has 422 feedbacks, 98.9% positive in the last 12 months.
After about 3 weeks I see that seller is no longer a registered user
Email to paypal I have 60 days to file a dispute (covered for £500)
Email correspondence with seller, he explains how he has been removed for putting his phone number on listings and I will get my tickets no problem, but if I file a dispute, then by the time it is solved the festival could be over.
I decide to go with and trust the seller, so 60 days to file a dispute with ebay/paypal expires.
Reading starts next Wednesday, some of the tickets being sent out from Seetickets/Ticketmaster won't arrive until Monday
I emailed the seller 3w ago, just asking when he expects the tickets to arrive, no answer
I emailed him last thursday no answer.
I think I have found the sellers website, I think he is a musician (guitarist) though recently the website shows under construction but I can still access some pages via web archives,
Son really wants to go, also the issue of the tickets which were bought for three of his friends.
I'm after some ideas if possible

Firstly you misunderstood the time frame for a claim. An ebay claim (which does not involve getting any money back) can be done up to 60 days, however to have safeguarded your money you would have needed to do a paypal claim within 45 days of payment. That means you are now completely reliant on the seller to provide you with the tickets, or else you go down the small claims route.
Seller was in violation of ebay rules regarding selling items that are not able to be provided within 30 days, that might explain why they were suspended.
However I am concerned here that seller seemed uneasy with the idea of you starting a claim to protect yourself, that would have set alarm bells ringing to me, the fact he is ignoring you is another worry.
All I can suggest is that you do some detective work , track the guy down as much as you can, find telephone numbers, addresses etc in case you have to resort to small claims. If th etickets ar enot with you on Monday and the selelr has still not responded come back and ask about how to file a claim online. A claim online will cost you money and there is still no guarantee that you will recover any of your original funds, but I can't see what else you can do.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Same has happened with my brother with Leeds tickets. £255 for one. We have got the town and postcode, and the person's surname, but their phone number is ex-directory. I can't find the eBay contact number that somebody posted a while back, could somebody direct me to it. Many thanks0

You can't phone ebay as they offer no telephone support for standard user all you can do is try live help . Even then they will merely direct you to a paypal claim (assuming you paid by paypal) if you are still within the 45 day time frame.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There's still hope from the credit card funding.
Personally, I'd be giving up hope of seeing the tickets (the guy doesn't exactly fill you with confidence, does he?) and take it up with your CC provider. My TV is broken!

He isn't, he bought them in May, I've told him that this was stupid, I'm just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. Managed to get this person's phone number now, but they aren't in at the minute.0

Well sorry my brother is 17, he bought the tickets (with permission) on my dad's Paypal via my dad's debit card, NOT credit card unfortunatly.
Hopefully this lady will answer the phone tonight. If not, what are our options?
Sorry I keep on posting again rather than editing, I'm just getting worried about this now.0 -

If you bought the items over 45 days ago then you have no come back via ebay or paypal, your only hope is small claims but for that you need to be able to have an accurate address where this person lives so papers can be served.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OK thanks. It's nice to know that we have a backup plan. We can get the address. I don't this lady is running a major ticket scam, she does have feedback off other people who have recieved tickets to a different festival. Hopefully she will answer the phone later. Sorry for going on, just a little worried, it's a lot of money for anyone to lose. Many thanks0
