Cancelling my vodafone contract

Hi i've been with vodafone for around 12 months, and im starting back at uni in september so am looking to get rid of my contract as it'll probably be cheaper for me to go to PAYG. My contract is for 18 months, now im guessing i'm going to have to pay off the remainding 6 months of my contract for the line rental and there wont be any way around this?

also to cancel it can i just send them a letter saying im going to give 1 months notice for it to be cancelled on a certain date?

thanks in advance.

Nope. You will have to pay for the rest of your contract, so if will prob make more sense to drop the talk plan down to a cheaper one and carry on running it.

PAYG works out to be expensive for anyone in my view,.

for 6 months you might aswell keep it,.
