Phones4U Cashback and Canceling at End of Contract

Phones4U have the rule that "you must have a live contract with the network you were connected to at the time you purchased......" in order to claim cashback.
Now, I took out my contract in July 16th 2007, my claim form for the next claim is dated 8/9 so my final claim will be around 8th January.
As my contract will end on Jan 15th, if I post my last claim on the 8th, will this give me enough time to get the claim through or would I be best leaving it for a 19th month and give my 30 days notice on January 16th?
