Best Deal for Alton Towers tickets (with disabled guest)

We are thinking of going to Alton Towers in the next few weeks and I'm looking for the best deal.
We are a party of 5 adults including one disabled adult. I've had a look at the Alton Towers website and as well as Disabled tickets being cheaper, it says that carers also get discounted tickets but it doesn't say how much or how many people can be classed as carers (edit: actually, I think it says 2...).
I have some Sainsbury's 2 for 1 (adult price) vouchers and I've seen some posts about vouchers on raring2go but am I better off buying the discounted carers' tickets instead? Has anyone else ever bought the carers' tickets? I'd really appreciate any advice/help.
Thanks.

  • There is a link on here froms someone who works there, it says any questions ask me about alton towers. He is best person to tell you which is cheaper.

If you have your blue badge you also don't pay for parking but have to produce this. I think its £10 to park.

I am disabled but had tickets already, you have to go to guest services and have bands put on so you don't have to queue which is ace.

Ok first thing I would do is photocopy your blue badge, front & back. You need to leave the badge in your car and this will enable you to still get disabled price on entry & wrist bands at customer services.
The best thing for prices is to use the 2 4 1 vouchers for the other people in your party 2 adult tickets are £70 you will save £70 for the other 2 people and then get disabled rate for the blue badge holder at £17.50. Total cost £87.50 when you get your wristband you will be giving a list of the rides you can fast track and how many carers can accompany you on the ride. On some you are allowed upto 4 carers and you do not have to pay carer rate for them. They must be with you at guest services to get a wristband.

  • Thanks very much.
I was going to take one of my DLA documents as proof of disability - is this better than the photocopied blue badge or not?

to be honest I am not sure. I always take the blue badge copy as it is th emost definitive document. but I should imagine your DLA documents would surfice.
