My husband is going to Belgium for 2 weeks on business soon and I was wondering what the cheapest way of keeping in touch was.
He will have his O2 payg mobile with him. I will have my contract O2 phone and the BT landline here.
He will not have access to a landline in Belgium.
Any ideas would be great. xx

make sure he has activated international roaming otherwise he won't be able to receive calls. I had to phone o2 and ask them to do this.
it would be cheaper to use your o2 contract to call him as the call will come out of your free minutes.
your husband will need credit to receive a call. i haven't a clue how much tho. it might be worth calling o2 for prices or check their website.0 -
I have free O2 to O2 calls as part of my contract but I assumed I wouldnt be able to use these if he was abroad? xx0

It doesnt make any difference to you where the phone is, so you calls would be free, however your husband will pay to receive.0

It might be worth your husband adding the "My Europe extra" bolt on. For £10 you get incoming calls for free and outgoing calls reduced to 25p per minute. There is a one month option.

The bolt-on above will be a good idea if you are calling him a lot as said he wont get charged for receiving your calls. (18p per minute). The normal price is 35p per minute so you will need to see if that 10p per minute less will work out cheaper if he is calling you and weigh out the initial £10 cost.
Also it might be worth a call to customer services to ensure his international caller bar has been lifted.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
