Does anyone wonder, like me, that just MAYBE the Government released that suggestion re Stamp Duty, on purpose?
It's easy to accuse them of being idiots as they have proved this so many times in the past but, just MAYBE???
Perhaps they actually DID realise that it would quickly put the brakes on a fast dying market.
If so, what might be their agenda here?"Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -

In the press today there was a very interesting article by the Chief Executive of the MLA............................
MRDA, I believe :rolleyes:0 -
According to a local estate agent, the local market is selling well and completely uneffected by the "horror" stories in the news....
bulls**t as we all know. I currently have an inheritance property to put on the market and after meeting endless EAs stating the same old tripe, it was truly refreshing yesterday to meet an EA who told it how it is, had recently STR'd himself and honestly admitted the market was in dire straits. I wish there were more like him. He got the business because he was open and honest.
The others with vested interests should cut out the flannel and just tell the truth, we're grown-ups you know, we can take it. The market is dire and your only hope of selling anything at all is to be REALISTIC on the price. End of story.
oh and Pickledpink, it isn't going to miraculously recover anytime soon....0 -

Why don't you apply for his job then maybe you'll be on £220k a year.
I don't think that, even for £220k a year, I would be able to lie through my teeth, so I wouldn't be suitable for the job.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
