iPhone 3G customers - watch out for billing mistakes
I just got the second bill for my daughter's 3G iphone, which includes first month's usage charges. I had expected to see zero usage charges so was surprised to see a very large amount for data. A quick call to O2 and the problem was identified as O2's mistake in not properly setting up the contract with "free" data. I'd suggest you check your own bill.
Other than that, the iPhone 3G and O2 have performed flawlessly. I don't get it out of my daughter's hands that often but when I do (which I occasionally insist on as I pay the bill
) it is a joy to use.

I'm going to SEE if I can get it tomorrow, depending on whether any have stock by the time I get there

I have had a similar problem over the last few days, but I don't have an iPhone. It is almost as if they have multiple computer systems and that they don't quite communicate with each other properly.
Any problems I have had have been sorted out by a phone call that only ever lasted about 2-3 minutes (including time navigating menus and time on hold) with the customer service person basically saying "Hmmm, that isn't right, I'll credit that onto your bill for you". Good customer service

Try carphone warehouse, they seem to get more stock of iphones than o2 stores!
