Not so easy to pick out obvious "best" as it depends on so many factors and priorities. For instance, if the few numbers you call happen to be on the T-mobile network and signal levels are good, then perhaps T-Mobile "Mates Rates" tariff would suit at 8p/min.

As well as being very cheap Asda mobile uses the Vodafone network so u should have first class reception

I have looked at this and they charge 16p for the 1st 3 minutes per day and 10p for the 1st 3 texts per day, it is only at the lower price after that. Unless I am missing something.

Yes your missing the fact that they are reduceing their prices to the new rates on the 1/9/08.
