When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:
Hope you all have a good day.
Angelflower - hope everything works out with the jobs situation and you get your pay sorted.
Catch up with you all later.

Morning Sophiesmum :hello: and all who follow.

Well I did FIVE NSD's this week  (well that is probably largely down to laziness though - I didn't want to go shopping
) But I'll have to go shopping today. Today I will:
- Have a go at making my own humous
- If I go to Lidl, I can go via a market and get cheaper vegetables
- Return Duvet sets to Lidl.
- Tidy the filing - checking for admin tasks postponed or ignored that I could do.
- Do some more housework.
- Start dealing with the first windfalls

Hi everyone, I too find this thread incredibaly supportive, I am not surely the only one at the tills thinking "I will post this saving later on the daily thread".
Today I plan to
- work out money OH owes me and ask him for a cheque (then I cant spend it) Prob about £70, maybe more - not done, but cant pay in till mon anyway so no rush
- got some running round to do, need to get a petrol cap for the car after loosing the old one (before someone pours water - or worse in) - cost me just short of a tenner, but potentially saved engine damage
- need to go to maplin electronics and get some solar powered chargers, one for the leisure battery in campervan and one for the ipod/phone etc - done these, will charge my phone and ipod by solar from now on and car battery solar power thing reduced
- might go to a farmers market while I am out, if so, its near where i lost the petrol cap so will go back in the garage and ask if its there. - asked in garage, not there, market shut
also
- going to vw fest tonight, drink own beer, not the stuff from official beer point
- try eat before I set off, or cook meal in camper, no expensive burger type thingies
- trying my hardest to get washing done inside0 -
Morning everyone, hoping for a low spend day today even if it's not nsd.
I'll
-clicks
- food shopping ( budgeted for so don't class as spending as long as it stays within budget)
- comps
- sort some stuff for ebay
