Trumpette Baby Socks - cheaper version?

I have fallen in love with these socks for my baby boy, but the MSE'er that I am refuses to pay £15 for 6 pairs of socks when I already have loads. There has to be someone out there that sells baby socks that are patterned to look like shoes?

Any ideas?

I've been looking for these for ages, the cheapest I managed was about £13 but still incredibly expensive!

M&S do the girl type ones so it might be worth keeping an eye out for boys style ones meanwhile got to show you these bet they would look cute on him.

How hard would it be to thread some laces through 'normal' socks, and as an additional touch do some embroidery to add to the 'shoe' effect?

Maybe if there had been laces in them I could have kept socks on DS2 - as it was I resorted to (plain!) tights in primary colours under his trousers!

ETA that's when he was a baby / toddler, now he's 18 he keeps socks on OK ... :rotfl:

Ohhh - those are so cute!

I would happily pay £15 for 6 pairs...I can't get a pair of shoes to fit my DD so those would be a good alternative

Do they do them in girly styles??

    They are lovely but....

they aren't a necessity are they?
Baby's development isn't going to be stunted if they don't own a pair?

It's no way MSE, i love the post asking is any of the Grannies could knit them. They could make money on that.

But I wouldn't feel I had to have a pair let alone several of them, especially at that price, i know we like our lil ones to look lovely, but how long would they be in them, it's not worth it.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

Yes they do! My DD has quite a few pairs of 'Mary Janes's' in both pastel and bright colours and they are just gorgeous :D. We always get comments about them but luckily her kind auntie bought them for her! :o

    CLICK

They are probably cheaper on eBay....and I haven't seen those ones Violetta posted from M&S so I'm off to look!
