:j :j :j Oh thanks for that! One for my keys and one for my purse should do it. (And maybe someday I'll find a smaller one for my glasses and inhaler. Or maybe one day I'll remember where I've put things. :D )

I like the cat story, Glenbat! Bet you were popular. :D

    I remember them too!

I think they became popular in the early eighty's

....but you can still get them today...look....

You can get them from Hawkin as well I think, but they are a bit of a waste of space because they will start bleeping whenever you laugh and they will be out of range when you've really misplaced them! Plus if you have several they will be bleeping all over the house, but you still won't be able to find the precise item you're after!

I sent mine to a Jumble Sale. :rotfl:

  • Thanks every one for your idea's and suggestions. I purchased a (website removed by board guide) at the end of last week. It arrived today and I have to be honest it is really solid and secure. In addition I purchased a wall mounting bracket.

I think it is important to add that the box will be mounted in an obscure hiding place. I won't be using it every day!

I am going to order one as a Christmas present for my MUM, she is a little older now and needs others to gain access to her house.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank Hairy Mike for putting me intouch with Shurlok.
