Surely you don't have all this detail attached to your keys? :eek:0 -

How often do you check your keys are still in it? with it having a black cover on it somebody could open the cover, smash open the keysafe and steal your key. As long as they can get the black cover back on you'll never know it's missing..

Hi sg,
I got the idea for using one of these from work. Many of the patients I visit are elderly and infirm, therefore unable to answer the door easily and have their keypads situated right beside their door bell for ease of access for friends, family and healthcare services. As far as I know, none of them have ever been smashed open.
I got mine because my daughter is a bit of a scatterbrain and has managed to lose numerous keys. Ours is situated in an obscure place and is used almost daily by my daughter as she is no longer allowed to carry a key (it was just too expensive to keep on replacing them on a weekly basis).
As for your security system.....I sincerely hope that no one who uses these boards decides to follow your example

I am completely hopeless and lose things around the house on an hourly basis. A friend of mine was a regular visitor when I lived in Leeds and he was convinced that I should have a sensor attatched to my doc martins (the only footwear I had) which would beep if I went out of range of my glasses, keys, purse or bus pass! I'd have paid a lot of money for one of those.
The beeping would come from the item, not the shoes. If anyone knows of such a thing please tell. (I'm aware of how geeky it sounds!)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
